Manchester City is delighted to announce that Matias Bonanno has put pen to paper, extending his Man City Esports contract.

The Argentine will be ready to defend our ePremier League title for a third successive season, following our back-to-back title success in 2024 and 2025.

Bonanno joined City after eLa Liga success with Betis and had the ambition to carry his domestic success into the English scene.

And Bonanno did just that. Alongside former City Esports pro Donovan ‘Tekkz’ Hunt, the duo went undefeated to claim a historic second ePremier League title for City.

A year later, Bonanno scored the last-minute, decisive goal that saw us celebrate a record-breaking back-to-back ePremier League title, with both Final wins against Brighton.

Bonanno has also been a prominent figure in all major competitions, including the FC Pro Open, eChampions League and Esports World Cup.

“I am very excited to represent Man City Esports for a third season and fight to retain the ePremier League title again,” said Bonanno.

“It’s my longest stay with a club, and I think it’s because City is so special.

“I’ve grown as a person and as a player, we’ve created history as a team, and I can’t wait to continue reaching new heights.

“I want to thank all the staff and fans for their support so far and I can’t wait to continue representing the team this season.”

Everyone at Manchester City would like to congratulate Mati on his new contract and wish him continued success during his time here.
