Gabriel Bontempo said he left furious after Santos were held 0-0 by Remo at Vila Belmiro in the first leg of their Copa do Brasil last 16 tie on Saturday.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the midfielder was angered by efforts that struck the frame and by a Gabigol goal ruled out, and he added that the team will now chase qualification in Pará.

The return is on Tuesday four at 21:30 at the Mangueirão in Belém. Cuca’s side must find a result away from home to reach the quarter-finals. If the aggregate score is level again, it will be settled by penalties.

Santos entered the competition in the fifth phase and progressed by eliminating Coritiba.

That tie followed a similar pattern, with a 0-0 at Vila Belmiro before qualification was secured at Couto Pereira.
