Manchester United have received a big boost ahead of their visit to Burnley tonight.
Kobbie Mainoo will be part of the matchday squad. He has been training for over a week and is now ready to return to the squad.
He pushed to play against Leeds United last week, but the medical team advised against it.
Interim manager Darren Fletcher has already confirmed that captain Bruno Fernandes and Mason Mount will be available for selection.
However, United remain without Bryan Mbeumo, Amad Diallo and Noussair Mazraoui due to their Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) commitments.
Mainoo was a key member of the first team last season, making 36 appearances across all competitions.
He has been on the fringes of the squad this term under Ruben Amorim. He did not start him once in the Premier League.
Mainoo was expected to push for a loan transfer in the winter transfer window.
However, he does not want to leave Old Trafford and is determined to revive his career in Manchester.
Amorim was dismissed from the managerial role after his stunning outburst against the club’s hierarchy following the 1-1 draw at Leeds.
Mainno will hope to feature in more games with Amorim out of the equation.
