Kjell Wätjen has left Borussia Dortmund to join FC Midtjylland on a permanent deal.
The club said in a statement that the academy graduate was moving to the Danish side, with managing director for sport Lars Ricken praising his development and character.

The statement highlighted Wätjen’s rise from the under-10s through to a first-team debut, describing that journey as special.
It also underlined his strong bond with Dortmund and the pride in his long spell at the club, along with best wishes for his next step.
Wätjen made four appearances for Borussia Dortmund, providing one assist.
