Borussia Mönchengladbach pushing to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna | OneFootball

Sky Germany reports that Borussia Mönchengladbach are pushing to sign unwanted Borussia Dortmund player Giovanni Reyna.

This pursuit likely comes after Gladbach’s loan offer for now PSV Eindhoven-bound Paul Wanner was rejected by Bayern Munich.

Die Fohlen have made an offer for Reyna, who is also attracting interest from Parma in Serie A, and negotiations between the two sides are ongoing. Gladbach will also need to reach an agreement with the 22-year-old.

When it comes to outgoings at Borussia Park, Julian Weigl could follow Ko Itakura and Alassane Plea out the door. The midfielder has already been removed from the captaincy, and part of that has been due to speculation over his future.

The 29-year-old has attracted interest from Saudi Arabia, more specifically, Al-Shabab. If Gladbach receives a suitable offer for Weigl, they will let him leave the club this summer.  Weigl himself is open to a move to the Middle East.
