Signs of general stability: Borussia Dortmund lost two competitive matches in a row for the first time under Niko Kovac. BVB suffered their first home defeat of the season, the last Bundesliga team to do so. Their previous home defeat was almost a year ago.

Back again: Nico Schlotterbeck had not played in the last four competitive matches for BVB (suspension, injury). He was back in the starting line-up for the top-of-the-table clash, scoring his fourth goal of the season and equalling his personal record for a single season.

On target: Daniel Svensson scored his second goal of the season. He previously scored on Matchday 5 in Mainz.

Close: Harry Kane also scored his 24th Bundesliga penalty. Gregor Kobel was only the third keeper to at least get a hand to the ball... Kane scored twice in his fourth Bundesliga game in a row, equalling the historic record set by Lothar Emmerich (1967 for Dortmund) and Tomislav Maric (2001 for Wolfsburg).
