Bournemouth announce loan signing of Christos Mandas | OneFootball

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Lazio goalkeeper Christos Mandas on loan until the end of the season.

The Cherries were looking for goalkeeping depth following the injury of backup Will Dennis who is set to be out for several weeks leaving only Djordje Petrovic and Fraser Forster as senior first team goalkeepers.

"It’s an amazing feeling to be a part of this club," the Greek international said on his arrival. "I feel so proud, it’s a dream for me to come here and I’m really, really happy.

"From the start, when I knew Bournemouth were interested, I knew that I wanted to come here. It feels like a magical atmosphere between the players and the fans, and I like the way the team plays, so it is the right move for me to come here."

Mandas initially joined Lazio from Greek side OFI in 2023 and played 32 games in his first two seasons. This season the 24-year-old has featured just once for the Italian side – a Coppa Italia fixture against AC Milan back in December in which he kept a clean sheet in a 1-0 win.
