Leeds United visit Bournemouth on Wednesday with two players ruled out and three others doubtful, despite a key return. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, both managers spoke on Tuesday.
The fixture was moved to midweek after Leeds' FA Cup progress, part of a packed week that finishes with Sunday's Wembley semi-final. United beat Wolves 3-0, sit on 39 points and are eight clear with five games left.
Bournemouth arrive after a 2-1 win at Newcastle United and have not lost in the league since a 3-2 home defeat to Arsenal on Saturday, January 3. Andoni Iraola's squad is largely healthy.
Joe Rodon is back sooner than expected after his ankle issue, having returned from the bench against Wolves with no reported setback. He is in contention to start.
James Justin shone against Wolves, then appeared to cramp late on. With no fresh problems reported on Tuesday, he is expected to be available.
Former Leeds midfielder Tyler Adams has built fitness, playing 45 minutes from the bench in each of Bournemouth's last two matches. Whether he starts or stays among the substitutes remains open.
Lewis Cook is a doubt as he continues partial training following a hamstring problem and could be close to a bench return. Julio Soler is also a doubt after recent group work, though he missed the Newcastle squad and may need more time.
Dan James has rejoined training after an adductor strain but needs session after session before a comeback. Any involvement at Bournemouth would be a major surprise.
