Manchester City lost top spot in the Premier League table after a 2-1 defeat at AFC Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Evanilson then slid in a second on the counter-attack after the break to put the home team clear - and just a short spell on from them beating Arsenal too - and despite a late consolation from Josko Gvardiol, Bournemouth hung on to win.

Combined with Liverpool beating Brighton, it meant City fell into second place and missed the chance to open a bigger gap to Arsenal, who had lost earlier in the day at Newcastle.
