Frenchman has his pick of clubs this summer but knows where he wants to move

Bradley Barcola has reportedly set his heart on a move to Liverpool as they prepare to send a bid to Paris Saint-Germain.

The French winger seems to have grown tired of playing second fiddle to the likes of Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Desire Doue at PSG, and is reportedly prepared to look to greener pastures.

Liverpool seems to be the most likely option as they prepare to send an offer for their latest big-money attacking reinforcement.

It was reported earlier on Wednesday that the Reds were pulling together a €100m (£85m) bid for the player after missing out on a move for Yan Diomande, who seems set to join Real Madrid. Arsenal are also said to be interested in Barcola this summer, but PSG are unwilling to sell to a rival.

L’Equipe has reported that Barcola has already agreed personal terms with Liverpool, meaning it is just down to the clubs to find common ground and strike a deal.

Should the deal go through, Barcola will arrive as a replacement for the legendary winger Mohamed Salah, who left the club as a free agent come the end of the 2025/26 campaign, calling time on a nine-year association with the club. He will follow Spanish winger Victor Munoz in bolstering Liverpool’s front line.

After adding more firepower up top, Andoni Iraola will surely turn his attention to adding depth and quality to his defence.

He is well stocked for full-backs, but is shorthanded in the middle, with Virgil van Dijk, Jeremy Jacquet and the injury-prone Joe Gomez his only options.

Giovanni Leoni will return soon, but currently remains sidelined with an injury sustained when he debuted for the club last autumn.
