France international Bradley Barcola has suffered a right ankle injury. The Paris Saint-Germain forward could be sidelined, putting his participation in the Champions League quarter-finals in doubt.
He was hurt during Tuesday’s 0-3 defeat at Chelsea and left Stamford Bridge with his ankle in a protective boot. The club said in a statement that tests on Wednesday confirmed a severe sprain of the right ankle ligaments and that he would be unavailable for the next few weeks.
The former Lyon player could be out for around a month.
His lay-off is likely to extend beyond the France squad gathering next week, and he is likely to miss both quarter-final legs scheduled for 7-8 and 14-15 April.
This season the 23-year-old has scored 12 times in 38 appearances across all competitions.
