Brannagan penalty cancels early Belloumi strike as Hull stay in play-off race

Oxford United 1-1 Hull City at the Kassam Stadium, a draw that keeps the visitors fifth in the Championship play-off places.
In the fourth minute, Mohamed Belloumi steered in from the centre of the box after Semi Ajayi's pass to give Hull the lead.
Will Lankshear was fouled in the area (12.). Cameron Brannagan converted from the spot (13.) to level.
Jamie Cumming kept Oxford United in it before the break, parrying Kyle Joseph from close range, while after the restart Dillon Phillips gathered Brannagan's drive from distance.
Matt Bloomfield's changes injected energy down the right, with Stanley Mills whipping in a series of teasing crosses as Lankshear and later Mark Harris went close.
The fourth official indicated four minutes of added time, and Phillips clawed away Will Vaulks' low strike in the third minute of stoppage time.
Oxford United tallied 16 attempts from 34% possession. Hull registered nine attempts and had 66% of the ball.
Oxford United remain 23rd in the relegation zone. Next, they visit Portsmouth. Hull host Coventry City next.
