Cole Palmer trained on Friday, and in his press conference ahead of today’s game, Liam Rosenior said he would probably be ready to play against Crystal Palace.
Well the teams are out, and Palmer isn’t in the squad at all. The latest information on the situation comes from Nizaar Kinsella of the BBC.

Nizaar Kinsella’s Tweet about Cole Palmer.
Kinsella claims that Palmer trained in the last two sessions, but is still short of being ready for the game today.
UPDATE: Liam Rosenior has just spoken on the subject, making a Palmer start in midweek sound even less certain:
“Unfortunately for us Cole’s not quite right for this one [vs Crystal Palace]. I’ve said before in press conferences we want to make sure every player is at 100%. He’s got a little niggle in his thigh. He’s got a chance for Wednesday [vs Napoli],” the Blues boss told Sky Sports.
“Let’s hope he’s back for then”.
Let’s hope indeed. The worrying rumours about Palmer’s unhappiness are only going to grow while he’s out of action. Wednesday is a huge game for us, and we’re desperate to see our key attacking star back in action when we head to Italy to face Antonio Conte’s team.
It seems like the club are being very cautious with him, which is reasonable given the injury issues they’ve had with other players. We can hope without him today – we just want him back to his best long term.
Jamie Carragher has been speaking about Chelsea’s chances of winning the league, and has said that nobody is worried about that happening with this current model in place.
Cole Palmer is not in the squad today, and of course that means major questions about his future as the persistent rumours about his unhappiness at Chelsea continue to grow.
