Breno Bidon’s future is back in focus after the win over Remo, though his camp are in no hurry to sell.
"We are not in a hurry to sell Breno. We are happy at Corinthians. It is an evolving process. This change will happen naturally. It could happen in this window, but when it happens it will be good for everyone," said Fernando Brito of Dodici Sports BR to Itatiaia.
"It is a years-long project with Corinthians. Corinthians have always respected Breno and me, and we could not act differently," he added.
Corinthians, who face three transfer bans, aim to raise R$ 180 million from sales in 2026. Head coach Fernando Diniz accepted that departures are needed but does not expect to lose Bidon and André Luiz, who has Italian interest, at the same time. The window runs until late August and early September for the main European markets.
A Parque São Jorge graduate, Bidon was player of the 2024 Copinha as Corinthians lifted an 11th title. He debuted on 10 March 2024 in a 1-1 draw with Água Santa and has 134 appearances, 107 starts, five goals, four assists and three trophies. He is contracted until 2029 after a 2025 renewal, with clauses of R$ 370 million in Brazil and 100 million euros, R$ 625 million, abroad. He is in contention at Bahia on Sunday, 16:00, at Arena Fonte Nova in the 20th round.
