Bruno Fernandes was at the heart of an important win for Manchester United on Sunday, as the Red Devils came from behind to beat Crystal Palace.
Fernandes set up goals for Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount in the 2-1 win at Selhurst Park, with the victory seeing Ruben Amorim’s side climb into the Premier League’s top six.
The Portugal international has now provided more assists than any other player in the Premier League this season (5), while his two assists at Palace also saw him eclipse a Manchester United legend.
Fernandes has recorded 56 assists in the Premier League since joining Manchester United in January 2020, with only four players having ever created more goals for the club in the Premier League era.
His double at Palace took the 31-year-old above Paul Scholes (55), though Fernandes has some distance to break into the top three. David Beckham (88) is next in his sights, with Wayne Rooney (93) and Ryan Giggs (162) out in front.
