Bruno Genesio is increasingly likely to leave Lille OSC at the end of the season, as per a report from L’Équipe.
LOSC are on the verge of qualifying for next season’s UEFA Champions League, however, it looks unlikely that Genesio will stick around to lead that campaign. The Frenchman’s deal is up this summer and, as he confirmed last week, there are no signs of his deal being renewed.
As per L’Équipe, Lille are already in the market for a successor. Stéphane Dumont is a figure being pushed internally, however, having got ESTAC Troyes promoted to Ligue 1, he is unlikely to leave the City Group club during the off-season. The publication adds that Thiago Motta is another option, although not a priority at this point in time.
All the while, the question of Genesio’s next destination, if he is to leave Lille, as expected, is being asked. L’Équipe understands that his name is going around at Olympique de Marseille and OGC Nice, who are both likely to be in the market for new managers at the end of the campaign.
