Arsenal will be without Bukayo Saka and Jurrien Timber for the Champions League quarter-final first leg at Sporting Portugal, with both not yet physically ready. The pair are regular starters for Mikel Arteta's side.
According to L'Équipe, Arteta told Monday's press conference that neither player is ready and that the club will see what follows, adding that, with a bit of luck, they could be available this weekend if all goes well. He also hopes to have them back before the return leg.
Saka, 24, left the England camp in late March to undergo medical tests. He did not feature in the Cup defeat at Southampton on Saturday, which ended 1-2.
Timber has not played since mid-March and a 2-0 win against Everton, when he went off late in the first half with an ankle problem.
The first leg kicks off on Tuesday at 21:00.
