Nicolas Jackson has not had the best season with Bayern Munich, but his manager Vincent Kompany insists his future isn’t decided.
The season is racing by – we’re almost in March. The summer is closing in fast, and Chelsea are already having to think about what to do with their big assets.
One of them is Nicolas Jackson. He’s been on loan at Bayern Munich, and most recent reports have been that he will be coming back to Chelsea – either to stick with the first team, or to be sold elsewhere.
He’s appeared in 15 Bundesliga matches this season, scoring 3 goals. But his total league minutes are at just 445, and he hasn’t had a league start since early December.

Vincent Kompany speaks to Nicolas Jackson.
However his manager, Vincent Kompany, has tried to keep the door open for the Senegal star to stay:
“We enjoy having Nicolas Jackson with us,” Kompany was quoted as saying.
“Any decision about the summer will be discussed with Nicolas himself and between the clubs. I don’t have an answer now. The only thing I know is that we’re very happy to have him.”
It doesn’t sound terribly convincing – it sounds just like what a manager says to keep a player happy rather than anything more convincing than that. But who knows? Maybe a deal does get worked out. It seems pretty clear that both Chelsea and Jackson aren’t keen for a reunion, it’s just a question of the Blues getting the money they want for him.
Liam Rosenior was understandably disappointed by Chelsea’s performance in the game yesterday, as he explained to Chelsea TV.
Pedro Neto got an assist yesterday, but Chelsea’s attack in general disappointed as they failed to capitalise more on their periods of dominance.
