A few months back City were aware of Kimmich’s potential availability, and Pep Guardiola has always loved the idea of bringing him. Reported Manchester City target, Dzenan Pejcinovic has signed a long-term deal with VfL Wolfsburg. VfL sporting director, Sebastian Schindzielorz: “It’s no accident Dzenan attracted interest from top European clubs, which makes us all the more pleased that we’ll continue our path together in the long term…”

Oliver Reiß will become the new head coach of Manchester City under-18s. The 41 year-old will leave Hertha BSC after 17 years at the club, and could have become an assistant coach at RSC Anderlecht and Hertha, but ‘consciously chose’ City’s opportunity. (Florian Plettenberg)
