Sevilla right-back and Olympic gold-medallist Juanlu Sanchez has been on the radar of major European clubs since he broke into the first team at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. This could be the transfer window that he leaves though, as Los Nervionenses negotiate a tricky salary limit situation.
Bundesliga side RB Leipzig have opened talks with Sevilla for Juanlu, and are looking for a loan with an option to buy deal, which Cadena SER would be for a ‘considerable amount’. Depending on the terms of the deal and certain objectives being hit, that option could also become obligatory this coming summer.
Juanlu has been tipped to succeed Jesus Navas on the right flank this season, but Garcia Pimienta has been using him more often in a midfield role this season. It could be considered as something of a coup for Leipzig if they do get a deal done, with Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid all scouting him this season.
