Manchester City have been issued with a very early transfer boost ahead of the 2025 summer transfer window with news of one player’s readiness to join the club.

Pep Guardiola and his colleagues in boardroom positions within the Etihad Stadium went through a largely quiet summer transfer window in the last few months, having only invested in one new player through a formal transfer fee.

Savinho’s arrival into the Etihad Stadium has provided further attacking flair into Guardiola’s line-up, starting life with the club in fine form through performances against Chelsea and Ipswich Town in successive opening Premier League matchdays.

Ilkay Gundogan made an emotional return to Manchester City just one year on from leaving the club on a free transfer to FC Barcelona, who sanctioned another free move back to the Etihad due to ongoing financial problems within the La Liga club.

But with a number of players certainly not getting any younger within the Manchester City squad, next summer’s transfer window could be a lot busier, and some focus could be placed on the attacking midfield role as successors to Kevin De Bruyne will no doubt be eyed up.

In a mammoth boost to hopes within the club, according to the information of Manchester City insider ‘Tolmie’s Hairdoo’ on X, Bayern Munich and Germany international superstar Jamal Musiala is ready to join Manchester City in the 2025 summer transfer window.

It is further explained that the 21-year-old has once again delayed talks over proposed fresh contractual terms at Bayern Munich, meaning he will only have one year left on his current agreement at the Allianz Arena next year.

That will not mean that Manchester City can expect a cut-price deal for the player however, with the report stating that Bayern Munich will still demand in excess of £100 million if they are unable to agree a contract renewal with the player.

Previous reports from within German media have pointed towards Manchester City’s long-term plan being to sign Jamal Musiala as their ideal successor to Kevin De Bruyne in the squad, with BILD’s Christian Falk offering his take during the summer.

“There is an idea at Manchester City to try and sign him (Jamal Musiala) as the successor of Kevin De Bruyne,” Falk said in late July. “I don’t know if the Belgian international will leave this summer or in the next, but the story of De Bruyne at City is coming to an end.”

Some of Manchester City’s existing teammates have also spoken highly of Musiala and the player’s performances, especially during the summer’s European Championships in Germany, with Jeremy Doku stating the midfielder was the most exciting player to watch.

“I like watching Jamal Musiala the most at this European Championship. It’s incredible what he can do with the ball. I really enjoy that.”
