The Eintracht striker is on the shortlist for the Bundesliga Player of the Month award for October. Vote now!
As we approach the end of the month, the time has come for the DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga vote for the Bundesliga’s Player of the Month for October. Eintracht Frankfurt’s Jonathan Burkardt is among the nominees.
The forward, who joined over the summer from Mainz, was in the starting line-up on each of the last three matchdays and scored back-to-back braces for the first time ever in Germany’s top flight. Leipzig’s Christoph Baumgartner is the only other player to have scored four goals across the same period. Burkardt only needed seven shots to register his four goals, giving him an attempts-per-goal ratio of better than one every two.
In addition to Burkardt and Baumgartner, the other players on the shortlist are Bayer Leverkusen’s Alejandro Grimaldo and Bayern Munich trio Luis Díaz, Joshua Kimmich and Michael Olise.
This season, the Player of the Month votes are once again weighted as follows:
So, Burkardt is counting on your support, Eintracht fans! Voting is open until 23:59 CET on Sunday 2 November.
