Newcastle United faced off against Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium earlier today as they hoped to secure a good result on their travels in the Premier League. The Magpies made a decent start to the game and managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Eddie Howe’s men pushed on in search of the opening goal in the second half but had to settle for a 0-0 draw away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Newcastle United player fared during the match against the Cherries.
He made a couple of solid saves at the back and earned an important clean sheet this afternoon.
CB: Malick Thiaw – 7.5/10
Thiaw performed his defensive duties well and was a strong presence in the air.
CB: Sven Botman – 7/10
He put his foot through the ball when he could and would be quite pleased with the clean sheet.
CB: Dan Burn – 8/10
Burn gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and deserves to be named the man of the match.
