The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has unveiled the official shortlist of ten nominees for the title of African Young Player of the Year 2025. This category shines a spotlight on the continent's emerging football gems who have lit up the year with their talent and consistency.

The players in contention are: Asharaf Tapsoba (Burkina Faso), Alynho Haïdara (Ivory Coast), Noah Sadiki (DR Congo), Abdellah Ouazane (Morocco), Houssam Essadak (Morocco), Othmane Maamma (Morocco), Daniel Bameyi (Nigeria), Momoh Kamara (Sierra Leone), Mbekezile Mbokazi (South Africa) and Tylon Smith (South Africa).

This selection confirms the meteoric rise of Africa's youth, with a particularly strong showing from Morocco, whose international campaign this year has been nothing short of spectacular.
