Caicedo Gets 8, Santos With 7.5 | Chelsea Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Cardiff City | OneFootball

Chelsea faced off against Cardiff City at the Cardiff City Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the EFL Cup. The Blues made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Alejandro Garnacho scored the opening goal for Enzo Maresca’s team in the 57th minute. However, David Turnbull equalised for the home side in the 75th minute. Pedro Neto put Chelsea 2-1 ahead just seven minutes later. Garnacho killed the game off in injury time as the Blues earned an impressive 3-1 win away from home.

He came back to defend when he could, but struggled to influence the game going forward.

CM: Moises Caicedo – 8/10

Caicedo anchored the midfield with conviction and ran the show in the opponent’s half.

CM: Andrey Santos – 7.5/10

He got stuck in with some solid tackles and made two good chances in the final third.

RW: Facundo Buonanotte – 7.5/10

Buonanotte caught the eye at times on the offensive end of the field and ended the game with an assist to his name.

He worked hard defensively but lacked quality in the final third.
