Last Sunday, Morocco lost the CAN 2025 final to Senegal (0-1, after extra time). This Tuesday, Achraf Hakimi chose to share his thoughts after the heartbreak of the final.

"I want to sincerely thank Walid Regragui and his entire staff, but above all, my teammates. For the work, the commitment, and the tremendous sacrifices we made together during this Africa Cup of Nations. It was 35 days living together, constant effort, discipline, and unity. This is a group that showed the world that Morocco doesn't just compete: Morocco inspires. Today, this Moroccan team has become strong, respected, and admired, just like a nation moving forward with confidence and proving to the world it belongs among football's greats. Every training session, every match, every shared moment embodied values of greatness: respect, selflessness, humility, and immense pride in representing an entire nation.
