Winning tackles is crucial for a team’s success, and several players have stood out in this regard during the group stage of the Africa Cup of Nations – CAN 2025.

Malian star Mamadou Sangare leads the pack with 14 successful tackles. He outperforms Alphonce Msanga (Tanzania), who made 12 tackles, and Aziz Kayondo (Uganda) with 11.

Tunisia’s Ali Abdi made a mark with 10 tackles, putting him fourth, ahead of Wilfred Ndidi (Nigeria), Noussair Mazraoui (Morocco), Issoufou Dayo (Burkina Faso), Jacques Ekomie and André Poko (Gabon).
