After a disappointing 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan this evening, Borussia Dortmund's Emre Can have his reaction to the unfortunate result.
“It’s always bitter when you concede a late goal to fall 1-0 down. It wasn’t our best game today,” Can told DAZN.
“Nevertheless, we didn’t allow them many chances, but in the end Inter looked the more mature side and deserved to win,” he added.
Teammate and centre-half partner Nico Schlotterbeck confessed BVB didn't do enough in the final third to threaten their opponents.
“We didn’t play forward enough and didn’t create enough clear chances. Inter didn’t have much either.
“They had the free kick and then they played like an Italian team do, calmly seeing it out,” the 26-year-old concluded.
Niko Kovač and his team will have to quickly regroup and pick themselves up for Sunday's clash with 1.FC Heidenheim at 17:30 CET.
