Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti is giving real consideration to shaking up his defensive ranks for the club’s upcoming meeting with Arsenal.
That’s according to Blancos insider Miguel Ángel Díaz of COPE, who points towards this potential change as coming at left-back.
Real Madrid will make the trip to north London on Tuesday night in the knowledge that their first-choice left-back has long been ruled out.
This comes with Ferland Mendy still recovering from a muscular injury.
The widespread expectation, in turn, was that Fran García would step in in place of the Frenchman.
If the latest word doing the rounds in the Spanish media on Monday is anything to go by, however, then an alternative plan could yet be utilised.
As per the aforementioned COPE, in a direct effort to limit the influence of Bukayo Saka, David Alaba could be afforded a rare starting berth at left-back at The Emirates.
