Carlo Ancelotti will attend Flamengo v Botafogo to assess Brazil options ahead of his next squad, according to Coluna Do Fla.

The Brazil head coach is set to watch from a box, with Léo Pereira, Pedro and Lucas Paquetá of Flamengo among those under observation. Léo Pereira is on his preliminary list for Monday 16.

The report adds he will also monitor Flamengo duo Danilo and Alex Sandro, who are regarded as having their places sealed for the 2026 World Cup.

Ancelotti is finalising his 2026 plans and has only one more window to test any remaining doubts before naming the World Cup group.

The clássico, part of round six of the Brasileirão, kicks off at 20:30 Brasília time on Saturday 14 March at Estádio Nilton Santos. Amazon Prime will stream the match.
