Carlo Ancelotti attended the Maracanã to watch Flamengo v Vasco in round 14 of the Brasileirão, ahead of Brazil’s World Cup squad announcement.

Globo.com reports that the national team coach was accompanied by fitness coach Cristiano Nunes, director of national teams Rodrigo Caetano and technical coordinator Juan.

He must submit a provisional list by 11, featuring up to 55 players. The final announcement will take place on 18 at the Museu do Amanhã in Rio de Janeiro.

Brazil’s preparation for the World Cup begins on 25 May. Before the tournament, they will play Panama at the Maracanã and Egypt in the United States.

Ancelotti has led the national side since the end of May 2025, overseeing 10 matches, with five wins, two draws and three defeats.
