Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti would be thrilled to have Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold at his disposal in the near future.

That’s according to Marca, who have on Tuesday provided an insight into the situation.

The name of defender Alexander-Arnold has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital over recent days.

This comes amid renewed speculation linking the England international with a move to Real Madrid.

Los Blancos this past weekend lost first-choice right-back Dani Carvajal to a long-term injury, expected to keep the 32-year-old sidelined for the remainder of the campaign.

Alexander-Arnold, as a result, has reemerged as a leading transfer target at the Santiago Bernabéu.

The understanding is that the Real transfer team are now ready to move forward with an approach for the full-back – whose Liverpool contract expires at the end of the season – in January.

And any such move, as alluded to above, would receive the full backing of manager Carlo Ancelotti.

As per Marca, Los Merengues’ boss would be more than happy to oversee the talents of Alexander-Arnold.
