Former West Brom boss Carlos Corberan is under pressure at Valencia after they dropped into the relegation zone in La Liga this weekend.
Former West Brom boss Carlos Corberan has come in for fierce criticism from the Valencia fans, who have called for him to leave the club as they dropped into the relegation zone.
The 42-year-old left Albion for the La Liga side at Christmas in 2024, when he inherited a Valencia team that were battling to stay in the top-flight.
Under his guidance, Los Che were transformed, as they went on a magnificent run, which saw them comfortably survive, and they actually finished 12th in the table.

Therefore, Valencia went into the 25/26 campaign with a lot of hope and optimism, but it has turned out to be a disastrous season so far.
A 4-1 defeat away to Celta Vigo this weekend saw Valencia drop into the relegation zone, with the side having won just three of their 18 games.
So, the fans are understandably frustrated, and footage emerged on social media showing supporters criticising the players at the airport on their return to the city. As well as that, there were specific calls for Corberan to ‘resign’, as they look for a change in the dugout.
It remains to be seen whether the hierarchy will sack Corberan, with Valencia back in action on Saturday when they host Elche.
This is sure to interest Baggies fans, as Corberan did a brilliant job during his time at The Hawthorns, and their subsequent struggles under Ryan Mason will have many believing the club should try and bring the Spaniard back.
There has been real anger at the performances this season, particularly on the road, with Albion losing nine games in succession away from home ahead of the trip to Leicester on Monday.

Many connected to the club had hoped for a promotion push, and whilst that can’t be ruled out just yet, the reality is that West Brom are closer to the relegation zone.
So, Mason will know that he needs results, and if Corberan does become available, it’s only going to increase the pressure on the former Spurs coach, irrespective of whether a return to the club is realistic.
Not only did Corberan have Albion competing towards the top of the table, but he also did it on a restricted budget and under difficult circumstances considering the previous owners at the Championship club.
Despite the questions aimed towards Mason, there’s no suggestion he could lose his job, and he will believe Albion can still push for the play-offs with a positive run of form over the next few months.
