Carlos Vinícius and Borré go head to head for the Gauchão 2026 scoring lead as Gre-Nal decides the title. Both have five goals, one behind Avenida’s Wellisson, who has another game in the relegation pool.

The first leg is at the Arena on Sunday at 18:00, the return is next Sunday at the same time at Beira-Rio. According to Globo.com, Carlos Vinícius is on two yellows from the semi-final and could miss the second match if booked again.

They share the role but offer contrasts. The Brazilian joined Grêmio in July last year, the Colombian came to Inter in January 2024. Vinícius is 1.90m and left footed, Borré is 1.74m, right footed and often drifts wide.

Since arriving, Vinícius has 21 goals in 27 appearances and has spoken of a 2026 World Cup aim. This year he has nine in 13 yet is four games without a goal, still the leading scorer in Brazil in 2026. Coach Luís Castro highlights his quality, team dependence for service and penalty duty.

Borré moved from early hope to criticism during last year’s slump. In 2026 he has six in nine and 24 in 86 overall for Inter. Paulo Pezzolano praises his humility and off-ball contribution, calling his unseen work invaluable.

Like Vinícius, Borré wants to reach the World Cup. He already has Colombia caps and played Copa América in 2021 and 2024.
