Carrillo has six months left at Corinthians to prove his worth and push for a new deal. The midfielder is also trying to reclaim a starting berth after losing ground this season.

According to Globo.com, the 35-year-old’s contract runs until 31 December 2026, and he can already sign a pre-contract with another club.

Irregular displays have seen him overtaken by Breno Bidon and André for much of the year in the fight for a midfield place.

The Peruvian started 11 of 19 matches in 2024 and 36 of 54 in 2025, but only 12 of 25 so far in 2026.

Even so, he is still regarded as an important squad option. His experience is seen as useful as Corinthians contest the Conmebol Libertadores, the Copa do Brasil and the Campeonato Brasileiro.

Corinthians begin the second half of the year with a friendly against Cascavel on 12 July, in Cascavel.

He has made 96 appearances, 59 as a starter, scoring three goals and supplying six assists. Signed in 2024, he has won the Campeonato Paulista and Copa do Brasil in 2025, and the Supercopa do Brasil in 2026.
