Carrillo attended the World Cup opener at the Azteca in Mexico City, wearing Mexico’s white shirt.
He was in the stands as Mexico beat South Africa 2-0, and, according to Globo.com, he avoided the green home colours because of the Corinthians rivalry with Palmeiras.

On Instagram Live he joked that Corinthians fans would kill him if he wore green, laughing as he explained his choice.
The Peru international had featured in friendlies during this FIFA window and is now on holiday during the pause in Brazilian football.
He is due to report back to Corinthians on 25 June, when Fernando Diniz’s squad end their break.
