Manchester United may face an uphill task of keeping hold of one of their star midfielders.

Kobbie Mainoo’s uncertain future at Old Trafford has attracted plenty of interest, with the Englishman struggling for regular game time under Ruben Amorim. A number of Premier League clubs are allegedly prepared to make a move for him.

United’s midfield might undergo a major revamp in the next few months, as Mainoo is not the only midfielder mulling over his options.

Al-Nassr eyeing Casemiro signing

Casemiro has entered the final year of his contract at United, having moved to Manchester from Madrid in 2022. There is an option to extend his deal by a further year, but the Brazilian is yet to make a final decision.

According to Mundo Deportivo, Casemiro is being “tempted by lucrative offers”. One of the clubs keen on signing him is Al-Nassr.

It is understood the Saudi Pro League outfit want to reunite him with Cristiano Ronaldo. The pair has shared dressing rooms at Real Madrid and United.

Al-Nassr are determined to make this deal happen and would reportedly “spare no expense to make his dream a reality.”

Man United want Casemiro to stay

Casemiro turned down opportunities to leave United in the summer as he wants to play at the highest level heading into the 2026 World Cup.

However, next summer could be an ideal time for the 33-year-old to take on a different challenge and explore a new league.

United, meanwhile, want to keep him at the club. It is claimed that the Premier League giants “will do everything possible” to retain the services of “one of their best players.”

Amorim surprisingly started Manuel Ugarte over Casemiro against Manchester City.

Still, the Brazil international is largely viewed as his first choice option to partner Bruno Fernandes in the double pivot.
