CBF appoints Flavio Rodrigues de Souza for Flamengo v Bahia

The CBF has appointed São Paulo referee Flavio Rodrigues de Souza to officiate Flamengo v Bahia in the Brasileirão. According to Coluna Do Fla, the fixture is set for Sunday 19 in round 12.

It will be his second Flamengo assignment in 2026. In March, he took charge of the round five meeting with Cruzeiro at the Maracanã.

Pedro put Flamengo ahead early on. Soon after, he went past Villalba and went down in the area, Rodrigues de Souza did not award a penalty and VAR did not intervene.

The incident prompted a strong reaction from home supporters. Flamengo went on to win 2-0, with Pedro and Jorge Carrascal on the scoresheet.

Sunday’s match will be shown exclusively on Premiere pay-per-view.
