Rangers have signed a borderline world class winger in the form of Andreas Skov Olsen. This is well and truly known.
However regular readers to Ibrox Noise will know the deal was briefly in doubt, and Rangers secured a plan B in that event.
His name was Damir Redzic and Ibrox Noise was dead against this guy, even as a sloppy second. Redzic has a complete nothing career, and is nowhere near the talent of Skov Olsen. The idea of Rangers moving for him instead had Ibrox Noise extremely anxious.
Thankfully happy ending all round as we got our man.
But in a little giggle factor, guess who now wants Redzic?
Yes, Celtic are reportedly working on Rangers’ sloppy unwanteds by trying to bring him to the east end of Glasgow. They are more than welcome to him.
It’s safe to say this gave us a little laugh. Rangers have literally secured all first choice targets this winter while timothy got some dodgy loan, failed to bring their own player back, and are now trying to secure a player Rangers really weren’t interested in.
We have to say ever since Brenda left over there, it has been a sudden downhill for that lot. We are not being complacent, MON is a heck of a manager and will have a lot of say this season. But just right now, what a shambolic mess they are.
And Rangers fans have most definitely earned the right to laugh at it.
That they are having to resort to signing Rangers cast off players while we’re bringing in world class Danish internationals is definitely a source of amusment.
Sure, it’s probably the press using both clubs’ names to try to get interest in a nobody player who wants more money, but it’s still a laugh.
No wonder they want to sack their bored.
