Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy believes we will see Liam Rosenior use Andrey Santos in a different role in some games.
Santos has been absolutely superb in the last handful of games, playing as part of a deeper double pivot alongside Moises Caicedo in the middle of the park.
But Cundy thinks there might be games going forward, where we see Liam Rosenior use Santos in the 10 position – a position that he has played before.
Santos is that good that he can play in any of those central roles in midfield, whether deeper or advanced on the pitch. He’s been very good in the current position he is playing, so I’d personally be very surprised to see him move from there right now, even if it could be an option.

In the future, Cundy can also see the former Strasbourg loanee playing even further forward.
Discussing Santos on talkSPORT’s Inside Chelsea show, Cundy said: “Certain games I think you’ll see it [Santos and Caicedo]. I think there’ll be other games where he might not. Santos can play as a 10 as well if need be.”
I think that could only be a last ditch option for me, if we have a lot of injuries or players need rest. We have better options for the 10 role, and Santos is fantastic playing deeper.
On the London is Blue podcast this week, journalist Matt Law spoke a little about Levi Colwill’s return from injury and had a disappointing update.
The last few weeks have seen some Chelsea interest in Marcos Senesi rumoured – but it always felt unlikely, and recent updates have confirmed that suspicion.
