Cesar Peixoto arrives to complete Wolves head coach move | OneFootball

Cesar Peixoto is arriving at Wolves’ training ground this morning to complete his appointment as head coach.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 46-year-old will leave Portuguese side Gil Vicente to take over following the shock sacking of Rob Edwards this week.

Peixoto is already in the country and will head to Compton this morning, Friday, to sign his contract with the Championship club.

An unveiling of Peixoto as Wolves’ new head coach is likely to follow imminently.

Edwards was dismissed over the phone on Thursday morning after leaks on social media revealed Wolves’ move for Peixoto.

Some senior staff at Wolves were unaware of the change, as club chairman Nathan Shi and Fosun chairman and co-founder Guo Guangchang worked with Jorge Mendes and his Gestifute agency to seal the deal.
