Cesar Peixoto arrives to finalise Wolves head coach move | OneFootball

Cesar Peixoto is due at Wolves’ training base this morning to finalise his appointment as head coach.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the 46-year-old will leave Portuguese side Gil Vicente to take charge of the Championship club following the shock sacking of Rob Edwards this week.

Peixoto is already in the country and is set to arrive at Compton today to sign his deal.

An unveiling as Wolves’ new head coach is likely to follow imminently.

Edwards was dismissed over the phone on Thursday morning after leaks on social media revealed Wolves’ move for Peixoto.

Some senior staff were not aware of the change, as chairman Nathan Shi and Fosun chairman and co-founder Guo Guangchang worked with Jorge Mendes and his Gestifute agency to secure the agreement.
