As Bayern Munich look to overturn a one-goal deficit against PSG on Wednesday and book their place in the Champions League final, Harry Kane can also break several records while helping his team.

Kane scored the first goal in an epic 5-4 loss in the opening leg in Paris. In doing so, the Englishman has now scored in all of his last five appearances in Champions League knockout games, equalling a club record originally set by Robert Lewandowski between 2016 and 2018.

Should Kane score again in the second leg, he’ll set a new record and would also be one goal shy of equalling the most goals scored for Bayern in a single Champions League campaign.

Currently, Kane has 13 Champions League goals this season for Bayern, whilst Lewandowski holds the record with 15. A brace against PSG in Munich, and Kane may be able to beat the record in the final against his former rivals, Arsenal.

The signs and stats are in Bayern’s favour, also. The Bundesliga champions have scored three or more goals in eight of their last nine competitive home games. GGFN reporter Felipe gives a deeper insight into why Bayern Munich’s attacking structure will be crucial to beat PSG.
