Atalanta look to Mateo Retegui and Ademola Lookman for their Champions League opener against Arsenal, with Bukayo Saka starting and Riccardo Calafiori and Jorginho on the bench.
It kicks off at the Gewiss Stadium in Bergamo at 20.00 UK time (19.00 GMT).
La Dea won the Europa League trophy last season, but their start this term has been slowed by injuries and transfer chaos, so Gian Piero Gasperini is still trying to get a handle on his new-look team.
Gianluca Scamacca and Giorgio Scalvini are long-term absentees, with Rafael Toloi also out of action and Nicolò Zaniolo only fit for the bench.
It was reported that Mario Pasalic would start rather than Charles De Ketelaere, but the Belgian plays in a very attack-minded formation with Lookman and Retegui.
Arsenal have a packed absentee list too, making the trip without Martin Odegaard, Mikel Merino, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Kieran Terney and ex-Bologna defender Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Declan Rice returns from suspension, with Bukayo Saka and Italy international Calafiori available after injury.
Azzurri midfielder Jorginho is left on the bench in favour of Thomas Partey, with Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli upfront.
The Gunners are under pressure, as they have a huge Premier League clash with Manchester City coming up on Sunday.
