Serhou Guirassy lit up Borussia Dortmund's clash against Atalanta Bergamo in the Champions League, but behind his goal lies a tragic story.

In just the 3rd minute, Guirassy opened the scoring, but instead of celebrating, he lifted his shirt to reveal this message: “Aissata Guirassy – may you be welcomed into your vast paradise. Amen.” This was a tribute to his late niece. After the match, the striker explained:

This is a very difficult moment for us. The message was for my brother. Even in pain, life goes on.

Despite his sorrow, Guirassy continued to shine on the pitch, providing the assist for the second goal and earning the Man of the Match award.
