Mbemba comes clutch for DR Congo

The Democratic Republic of Congo progressed to the final of the African World Cup playoffs after a narrow 1-0 win over Cameroon in Rabat, Morocco on Thursday.
With the two teams deadlocked, the Leopards captain Chancel Mbemba came clutch, scoring the decisive goal deep in stoppage time.
While Cameroon were heartbroken, the DR Congo entourage was in jubilation as they set up a meeting with Nigeria in the final on Sunday.
The Super Eagles thumped Gabon 4-1 in extra time earlier in the day, with talisman Victor Osimhen netting a brace.
Sebastien Desabre and Eric Chelle will go head-to-head in the deciding match for a spot in the inter-confederation playoffs next year in March.
It remains to be seen who will reign supreme between DR Congo and Nigeria as both teams vye for the additional spot in the global showpiece set to be co-hosted by USA, Mexico and Canada.
