Chappell Roan has addressed an incident raised by Flamengo midfielder Jorginho involving his wife and daughter before a Lollapalooza show on Saturday 21. According to Coluna Do Fla, he alleged on social media that a security guard intimidated his child ahead of the performance in São Paulo.

On Sunday 22 morning, the American singer said she had not been approached or disturbed by Catherine Harding or their daughter, Ada, at the hotel, and that the guard involved did not work for her.

She expressed regret for the situation, added that she never asked any guard to approach them, and called it unfair to assume bad intentions when no action had been taken. She apologised to Catherine and Ada and said the episode left her sad.

Roan performed at Lollapalooza on Saturday. Jorginho’s wife and daughter did not attend her set.

Jorginho is in São Paulo with Flamengo to face Corinthians on Sunday 22 at 20:30 Brasília time at Neo Química Arena.
