Châteauroux have suspended head coach Valentin Guichard after a 12-match winless run in National.

The club said in a statement that the suspension takes effect from Wednesday 18 March 2026, with Clément Massenet to take charge on an interim basis. He has been tasked with preparing the next fixtures.

Guichard, 35, had taken over a squad initially built for National 2, before the team were reprieved in mid-July following Martigues' demotion.

Châteauroux started well but results tailed off, prompting the change.

They sit 15th, out of 17, one point ahead of QRM in 16th and three clear of bottom club Saint-Brieuc before matchday 26.

Eight matches remain to secure a place in the future Ligue 3, starting with the visit of Concarneau on Friday 27 March at 19:30.
