In a recent report, Fichajes stated that Chelsea are preparing to move in for Porto forward Samu Omorodion. It has been mentioned that the Blues are eyeing a move to bring the Spanish striker to Stamford Bridge as they look to strengthen their attack next year.
Omorodion has enjoyed a great run of form at the Portuguese club during this campaign after he banged in a handful of important goals for them in the final third. The Spanish talent has made 12 appearances for Porto this season, finding the back of the net on ten occasions in the process across all fronts.
The 21-year-old has led the line well as he is averaging 3.62 shots per 90 minutes in Liga Portugal. He has kept 50% of his attempts on target. Omorodion has even distributed possession relatively well based on his pass success rate of 75.3% in the Portuguese top flight (stats via fbref.com).
His current contract at the Portuguese club will run out in the summer of 2029. Thus, the Blues would have to make a convincing offer if they are serious about signing Omorodion next year.

Omorodion is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the eye to create the odd chance for his teammates in the final third. He has proven himself to be a prolific goal-scorer in Portuguese football.
However, the jury is still out on whether the Spanish sensation can replicate his good form in the Premier League if the Blues manage to acquire his services.
We can expect Omorodion to add more firepower to Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca’s attack. He has what it takes to compete for a regular starting place at the West London club.
At 21, Omorodion has got the potential to be a future star in European football. Plus, he would help the Blues compete across all competitions in the coming seasons. Therefore, Maresca should focus on going for a striker of his quality and potential next year. However, Chelsea has to give him some time to settle into life in England before they can get the best out of the talented centre-forward.
