In a recent post on X, journalist Sacha Tavolieri mentioned that Chelsea are trailing Manchester United for Sunderland midfielder Noah Sadiki. It has been claimed that the Blues are currently behind the Red Devils in the race to sign the Congolese midfielder this summer.
Sadiki has enjoyed a good run of form at the Wearside club as he has produced a series of impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 21-year-old has picked up one assist in 30 matches for Sunderland this season across all competitions.
The Congolese talent is currently one of the most gifted young midfielders in the Premier League. Thus, Chelsea would do well to win the race for his services this off-season.
His current contract at the Stadium of Light will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for the Blues to sign him on a cut-price deal later this year.

Sadiki is a good tackler of the ball and can time his challenges well to earn the ball back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required and is a good passer as well.
The Congolese sensation has got some valuable experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Chelsea. He is primarily a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or as a right-back if told to do so.
We can expect Sadiki to enhance the quality of Chelsea’s midfield department if they can devise a way to win the race for his services. He has what it takes to compete for regular first-team football at Stamford Bridge next season.
At 21, the future looks quite bright for Sadiki as long as he continues to improve with each year. Thus, it makes sense for the Blues to go all out to bring him on board in the upcoming transfer window. Sadiki will also help Chelsea challenge for a top-four spot in the Premier League over the next few years. All in all, the London giants would be wise to step up their efforts to land him this summer.
